Green Ride
In the meantime though, back to biking. I've been riding a lot, getting in better shape, and there is a race on the 31st of May I'm going to do. Shrek is ready. He's even plated up.
Malaysian Setup
Shrek is still setup more or less the same way as his last race. After a few hand numbing months on an aluminum handlebar, after Air Emirates stole Shrek's lasts carbon bar, I've gone back to a nice carbon handlebar, this one a Niner 740 mm wide carbon flat bar. Still miss my Oury Grips, but enjoying the second best thing I could find, Profile grips very similar to the Ourys.Otherwise two small changes. Went from a 30 tooth chainring to a 32 tooth oval chainring. I can't tell the difference as much as I thought I would. It's very subtle in practice. So far I like it though.
Also added the T.O.G.S. style barends. Like them a lot. They need some subtle changes, like rounded edges, and a stronger tightening system. Otherwise, it provides a nice option for another grip, without the bulk of old school bar ends.
