Running Late as Usual
So, I used to be really bad about always being late. Better lately, but it's always been a thing. For example, I started this blog in 2014, about ten years after it was cool to blog. And the past few days I haven't posted because I've been spending my screen time setting up a . . . . . wait for it. . . . . FB page. I don't even know how late I am on that one.
Stillwater at Sunset
I've been on only a few rides lately, as we are super busy with a new and exciting project, and we've had some guests. My training ride around the Absarokee area the other night showed me how much has changed in a couple weeks. Last time I rode these roads, they were covered in mud and baby cow diarrhea. Now it's high summer, with hay being baled, sunflowers, coneflowers, peas and rapeseed turn the meadows yellow and gold. ![]() |

Personal Training Camp,
Emphasis on Personal
Being a bit behind on riding, I've been working towards getting the bike up and running for a bit of a training camp: a few rides in a row at high altitude up in the mountains out of the summer heat down here.
Then I was talking with Yokie and we realized it has been over three years since I've had any time at all away from Rose. I spent all of 2012 alone with her in Malaysia. Then when we came back it's been homeschool homeschool homeschool for a while now. We haven't had a break in years.
So we're combining the two ideas and I'm heading up for a personal training camp today outside of Cooke City. I'm going to hit Line Creek Plateau on the way over the pass, and then go camp on Lulu Pass again. On day 2 I'm going to do a Cooke City tour, exploring Goose Lake Jeep road, Lulu Pass, Daisy Pass, maybe Silver Gate Road, and then camp again. On my way out I'm going to do either the Lewis and Clark Trail again, or maybe explore the Crazy Lakes Road, or Rock Creek again, we'll see. Either way, two days and nights up in the mountians.
See you on the flipside!!!
