Fattie in the Snow
This was my first snow ride on the fatbike. Unfortunately, the snow was really thick and wet, and the trail was incredibly muddy underneath. So the riding wasn't necessarily enjoyable, or even something I'd do again.
Having said that, in a way that counts as a fabike success. If I didn't have a fattie, I wouldn't have ridden yesterday at all. So even if it doesn't end up ideal, at least I'm out there where I wouldn't otherwise be.

The snow was like a white Slurpee

Highlight of the trip: this Sandhill Crane who was hanging out in the strangest spot, up pretty high on Benbow Mountain. And he didn't want to get out of the way. We watched each other for a while before he sauntered off.

Snow is to Kip as *&^% is to pigs

Kip don't fetch; he plays the classic heeler game: run super fast as close as possible. If you don't try to "tag" him, he gets closer and closer and then nips a heel if he can. He finds my bike to be an attractive if consistently unresponsive partner - but he has yet to give up.
